STEP 1

Form 2 separate circular sections with the dryer vents, thread kite string through the vent loop and tie securely in the middle. This keeps the vent from stretching apart. Staple the vent ends together. This will be the base and middle of your snowman. Next, hot glue the metal ribs of the snowman's upper section in between the metal ribs of the lower section. It should take about 10 minutes to dry.

STEP 2

Push the nylon hole plugs, screw anchor, and electrical wire into the Styrofoam ball to form the eyes, nose, and mouth respectively. Glue the grooved wood dowel perpendicular to the thin dowel to form a cob pipe and insert near wire mouth. For the hat, cut a foamie strip 2 - 1/2" x 9 1/2" and form into a cylinder. Secure with staples. Cut a circular piece of foamie 4" in diameter for the brim, then cut a hole 2" in diameter in the brim. Glue cylinder to the brim. Glue holly in desired location. Wrap the velvet ribbon around the cylinder base to make the hatband and staple in place. Trace the cylinder on the extra foamie, cut and glue to make the top hat. Glue the hat to the Styrofoam head, making sure the staples face the back. Glue the head to the body.

STEP 3

Use the plaid wired ribbon to create a scarf and glue together. Glue 3 pom poms down the front of the snowman as buttons. In making the arms, choose a metal rib on each side of the snowman and punch a hole on either side of the rib. Feed the end of the pipe cleaner through the holes and twist tightly to itself to secure the rib. Repeat on the other side.
